LED bulbs come in different sizes and shapes, depending on where you use them. The standard bulb used in French homes is an A19 bulb with an E26 base. The E means that the LED bulb has an Edison screw and the 26 means that the base has a diameter of 26 mm (in Europe, you will find E27 bulbs).
The amount of light is calculated in watts. But today, the power in watts is no longer the best way to determine its power but rather the lumens.
In order to be sure to find the right lumens, the following explanations can help you:
- For 100W bulbs, look for a 1600 lumen LED bulb.
- For 75W bulbs, look for an 1100 lumen LED bulb.
- For 60 W bulbs, go for an 800 lumen LED bulb.

The color temperature is measured in degrees Kelvin, which ranges from 1000 to 12,000 k. It characterizes different shades of light:
- 2700 - 2800 k: warm, yellow light

However, an angle of 30° to 50° will illuminate a specific object or area of the room more. On the other hand, an LED light bulb that has an angle of more than 180° will give more light to a wider area.

Marked by its high power of 80 to 160W, E40 industrial LED light bulb is often presented in bell shape. You can directly install it on a 220 volt mains. This makes it suitable for factory lighting, large spaces like supermarkets, but also for public lighting. It also exists in the form of globe or cylinder.
It is a small LED bulb, provided with a base separated by a distance of 4 millimeters. It also performs like other LEDs despite its small size. A G4 LED fits perfectly in small decorative lights. But a G4 LED bulb only lights up with a small voltage of 12V. This makes its power limited to 2 to 3W.
It is a LED bulb composed of a base with two pins spaced 9mm apart. Its shape resembles a capsule or bulb and is perfectly suited for small liminaries. With high temperature, there is a change in the parameters of the current flowing through the semiconductor elements, which can lead to the combustion of the LED module.
It is a modern light bulb inserted in classic sockets such as E27 and G9. Compared to the good old incandescent lamps, a low-energy bulb saves up to 75% of energy. With a power of 12 W, an energy saving lamp can shine as bright as a 60 W incandescent bulb. The disadvantage is that the energy saving bulb is not suitable for all uses.
