Often imitated, never equaled, Dyson invented the fan without blades, as powerful as it is stylish. The Dyson AM07 is one of them, and it's no match for its predecessors. With this device, you'll be able to face the heat wave with peace of mind!
239 £ on BoulangerWith its atypical design, magnetic remote control, easy oscillation control and programmable timer from 15 minutes to 9 hours, the Dyson AM07 bladeless fan has it all. With all its mechanical parts tucked away in the base, it blends in with any room's décor as a statement piece. It is also perfectly safe, so you won't have to worry about your child or your curious pet. Maintenance is easy: the AM07 has no grille or blade, just wipe the fan body with a slightly damp cloth and you're done.
The Dyson AM07 is quiet, with a sound level of just 64dB at maximum power. This fan can cool an entire room in a very short time. A high performance that it owes in particular to its 10 levels of speed settings.
Available in 2 colors (white/silver and black/nickel), the Cool me is a device designed by Dyson for personal use. In addition to providing a nice feeling of freshness, it effectively purifies the air.
239 £ on BoulangerWith lighter features, the Dyson Pure Cool Me air conditioner has specific technology to strictly control pollutants like pollen, bacteria, dust... Its dual filtration system includes a 360° glass fibre HEPA filter and an activated carbon filter. Together, they easily remove even the finest particles (0.1 micron) and even exhaust fumes and bad odors.
The manufacturer confirms that the Pure Cool Me model can distribute purified air throughout the room thanks to the Core Flow technology. But in practice, the device is only able to purify the right volume of air intended for the user. However, the filtering efficiency is there. The Cool Me is as discreet (only 33 dB at minimum speed) as it is efficient. The dome automatically rotates through a 70° angle and is controllable via the supplied remote control. On the other hand, it should be noted that the filter of the Dyson Pure Cool Me is not washable. You must therefore replace it every year.
The Dyson HP04 heats, cools and purifies air. This version has both a HEPA filter and a carbon filter (for odors/VOCs). It's a solid multi-functional air conditioner.
519 £ on BoulangerOf all the units on this list, this is the one that can be used year-round. The Dyson Pure Hot+Cool HP04 combines the best of cooling and air purification with the ability to heat the room. Its power consumption is 40 W in cooling mode and 2,250 W in heating mode. You can control the temperature to some extent, and it will expel the purified air at the back of the fan without causing a draft.
The Dyson Pure Hot+Cool HP04 can oscillate up to 350 ° and it partners with the Dyson Link app to display the air quality in real time. Its main flaw remains its price, probably not within the reach of all households. But in return, this Dyson air conditioner offers remarkable performance, which you can enjoy throughout the year in terms of ventilation, air purification or heating.
With 42dB (at maximum speed), 350° oscillation, sensing and purification functions, the Dyson Pure Cool TP04 is a true gem of a fan. In addition to ventilation, it can improve air quality by up to 95%.
479 £ on AmazonThe Dyson Pure Cool Tower Purifier Fan (TP04) is the best Dyson fan you can buy right now. It's quiet, only 42dB at its maximum speed level, which is much less than the Dyson AM07 (64dB). But in addition to its ventilation function, it also acts as an air purifier. It passes the air through a filtration system that automatically captures gases and 99.95% of fine particles, such as allergens and pollutants.
It can also report on your air quality via your Dyson Link app. This fan can help you if you suffer from asthma or allergies, and the high-tech filters only need to be replaced once a year. It also has a night mode, so you can cool down and purify your environment at night without being disturbed. It's one of the more expensive models, but this Dyson fan/purifier combination is the best you can buy.

Before you buy a Dyson fan, there are a few things you should consider. How big is the room you want to ventilate? Is a small Dyson fan enough for the table or is a stand fan better? So that you can find the best Dyson fan for your home, consider these few criteria:
To get the most out of your expensive fan, choose one that is adjustable, with a swing that exceeds 90° for convenience. So, if you're looking for a Dyson fan that will cool you with a cool breeze whether you're standing or sitting, you should choose one with adjustable height. If it's more important to you to direct the airflow diagonally up or down, a tilting unit is the way to go.
To avoid disappointment, be sure to check how much air the Dyson fan can move before you buy it. While a large pedestal or tower fan moves 400 to 600 liters of air per second, a small table fan only handles about 350 liters per second.
Generally speaking, Dyson fans are quite quiet at their lowest speed levels. When they're cranked up to their highest speed, however, they can produce up to 60 dB of noise, making them impossible to use at night. Of all the Dyson fans, the Pure models have a special night mode that's so quiet it won't disturb sleep.
All
current Dyson fans come with a remote control that easily controls power, speed and oscillation. The remote is also magnetic, with a curved body, so it can be easily stored on top of the fan. If you're looking for even more wireless control, consider choosing a Dyson fan with Link technology. These fans can be connected to the Dyson Link app and controlled directly from your smartphone or even voice control using Amazon Alexa enabled devices.
Depending on the space available in your home and specifically the room you want to ventilate, the size of a fan is also important. You can't ventilate a large room with just a table fan. A height-adjustable stand fan, on the other hand, is the right device in this case.
A fan without blades, the Dyson fan produces cool air without fan blades.
Instead, air enters through small slots at the base of the unit. Then, a tiny fan powered by a small electric motor directs the air up a tube to the highest region of the fan. This is where it enters another hoop-shaped tube. Finally, the air will be expelled through another smaller slot.
In principle, the air is well compressed and accelerated due to the hoop-like shape of the tube, which is quite wide at the base but narrows towards the top. This ensures that the air is propelled efficiently throughout the room. In addition, it ensures that the air is multiplied. In the shape of a hoop, the inside of the tube is curved upwards like an aircraft wing. As a result, once the air exits through the upper slot, it enters the curved surface creating a vacuum.
The ambient air is thus sucked through the arch. Then, it will be entrained with the electrically propelled air as it exits the fan. The air around the edge of the tube is also drawn in and entrained in the same way as the electrically propelled air exits the tube. Through the combined action of these simple thermodynamic effects of acceleration, induction and entrainment, the air multiplier is able to increase the initial air intake by about 15 times.
Dyson fans can typically take in about 20 liters of air per second. But this multiplier effect allows them to pump out 300 liters of air per second. It should be noted that these fans are blade-less and make much less noise than those with blades.
Dyson fans are stylish, powerful, quiet and have innovative technology. And unlike traditional fans, they don't have exposed blades, so they're safer if you have children or pets. They are also easier to clean. But still, they have a more uniform airflow so they are more efficient thanks to the turbocharger and jet engine technology. Whether it's cooling or heating the air.
Conventional fans, on the other hand, do the job well. Although the air distribution is not always uniform, some column fans produce pleasant cool air flows. The oscillation function allows them to distribute the air fairly efficiently in the room to be cooled. They can also be quite quiet, producing only 4 or 5 dB more than Dyson fans. As for the air warming function, only the reversible ceiling fans offer this and at a less interesting level than that offered by the Dysons. But perhaps the most interesting point is that conventional fans are much cheaper than Dyson fans. In fact, you'll find some for under £100 that are quite decent.
In the end, it all depends on how much you care about design, aesthetics and innovation. If that's of paramount importance, Dyson fans are the right choice for you. And the higher you go in terms of price, the more you'll get for your money with the many features on offer.
Easy to clean
They are easier to clean than basic stand fans because they don't have grills or blades that trap dust. Most Dyson fans are made up of two major parts, the amplifier ring which is the top part and the base which is the bottom part that the whole system sits on. For maintenance, you can take it apart and reassemble it following the instructions on the user manual.
Secure
Due to its shape, they don't have fast rotating blades that could hurt little hands. This is a plus for the protection of your children if they tend to touch them. Safety is the main reason why the Dyson fan is loved by everyone.
Better functionality
They have added features such as remote controls to adjust airflow settings and sleep timers. This is a very efficient fan because it is powerful, even without a propeller, it blows cool air and not cold air like an air conditioner.
2 in 1
Indeed, some models have a heating function for winter use. It is a high speed air cooler in summer and a heater in winter. With this option, you can use it at any time.
Design
Its design stands out from all of them, because they are unique and very elegant. Moreover, they look cool, if that's important to you, and the brand is known for investing heavily in engineering new prototypes and perfecting its designs. In addition to its design, it's quiet. So you can quietly watch your favorite show at home or just listen to music without having to turn up the sound.
In our opinion, the best brands of Dyson fans in 2022 are :
Dyson - Dyson stands out greatly for its multi-functional products. Whether it's column fans, silent fans or other products, they are among the best-selling products on the market.
Rowenta - After the Dyson brand, Rowenta is also well known for its powerful, yet discreet products. On the plus side, the prices offered are a bit lower.
Brandson - Brandson is a brand that presents one of the best silent fans on the market. Its 40W 38,5" table fan and 50W 40" floor fan are in the top of the best products.
Honeywell - The Honeywell brand was established in 1906. While it initially focused on heating control, it now operates in a variety of fields including nuclear, automotive, aerospace, defense and more.
Iris Ohyama - Founded in 1958, Iris Ohyama is a Japanese brand that now sells over 23,000 products worldwide. The Iris Ohyama silent desk fan with oscillation is one of the most popular products.Back to the comparison table
The diagram below will help you to get an idea of the typical prices for each price range (entry-level, mid-range and high-end).
However, more expensive does not necessarily mean better.
We therefore advise you to always consult our ranking before deciding, rather than blindly relying on price ranges.
Put your Dyson fan in the right place.
For optimum performance, you'll need to consider the location of your Dyson fan. Avoid draughty areas and heat sources. Also avoid places with high humidity. And don't put your fan in front of a bed or sofa. This will cause more discomfort than anything else.
Make sure the Dyson fan can oscillate properly.
Don't
place any appliances that could interfere with the fan's oscillation. Be especially careful if the model you have can tilt. A model that oscillates at 70 degrees should be in a corner. For a higher angle, place the fan along a wall. For a 350° angle, put the unit in the center of the room, on the floor, or on a table depending on its size.
Read the instructions and test the remote control.
The
fan's remote control allows you to make adjustments remotely. This can include speed, temperature, selected mode as well as timer. Identify each button on the remote control and try it out. This way, you'll be able to make your adjustments faster and easier. And after adjustment, store the remote control in the dedicated slot so you don't lose it.
Use the turbo mode to quickly lower the temperature.
Find the fan takes a while to cool? Turn on the turbo mode! It will cut the time it takes to make the temperature in the room more bearable in half. All you have to do is press the dedicated button. But don't overdo it or you'll add to your electricity bill or even damage your appliance.
Clean your Dyson fan periodically to extend its life.
A
cloth soaked in water is all you need to clean the surface of a Dyson fan. Chemicals can scratch or warp it. Dust the filters with a vacuum cleaner as explained above. If necessary, wash the filters in soapy water. But rinse them before reinstalling them.
Dyson is not the only brand to produce fans without rotors. Other manufacturers also sell fans with rotors in the base of the unit. Most of these are cheaper than a Dyson fan. However, they are often of slightly lower quality than Dyson fans. The airflow is often lower with cheaper units and the noise level is a little higher.
The first Dyson fans on the market were still very loud. The volume of Dyson fans was not much different from those with rotor blades. Today's models don't have this shortcoming: Dyson's rotorless fans are barely audible at the lowest level, and a noticeable background noise only develops at higher operating levels. This is because the rotor of a Dyson fan is in the base. According to the manufacturer, Dyson fans reach a maximum volume of 60 dB in tests. Light sleep may be disturbed, but the devices hardly interfere with everyday life.
The first Dyson fan, the Dyson Cool table fan (now Dyson AM01), was introduced in 2009 by James Dyson. At the time, Dyson received a lot of praise for the Dyson Air-Multiplier technology, which allows for a fan without rotor blades - but the device didn't sell too well. The reason for this was the high noise volume of the Dyson Air-Multiplier and the rather high price. In the devices of subsequent generations, special attention was paid to a low operating volume.
Dyson offers a two-year guarantee on its products. The warranty period starts on the day you buy your machine.
